Anxious Avery is a Black indie animation/animated series created by Hayley Armstrong and Charlotte Moore.

Anxious Avery is an indie animated series about a young African American woman named Avery, a Blerd (Black nerd) who struggles with various forms of anxiety.
Each episode focuses on a specific type of anxiety that turns into a terrifying nightmare she has once she goes to sleep.
Anxious Avery features an opening theme song that is performed by voice actor, Hayley Armstrong. Hayley voices the main character, Avery as well as all of the other characters in the series.
The animation and artwork is done by artist, writer, and acclaimed journalist, Charlotte Moore.
Episode 1 of Anxious Avery, “The Party Invite” focuses on Avery’s social anxiety and fear of being invited to a social gathering by a persistent acquaintance.
Episode 2 of Anxious Avery, “Baby Blues” is about Avery’s fear of being left alone with a family member’s child and the responsibility associated with childcare.
Episode 3 of Anxious Avery, “Humiliation Station” focuses on Avery’s fear of embarrassment and how that fuels her desire to stay at home alone instead of going out and being around others.
Episode 4 of Anxious Avery, “The Hang Up” is about Avery’s fear of talking on the phone.
New episodes of Anxious Avery premiere on Monday nights around 8pm CST and they can be watched on youtube, tiktok, instagram, and facebook.
Anxious Avery is a passion project that aims to help promote understanding of Black and African American people who struggle with anxiety.
